Terryl Paiste
3 men, 4 women (can be double cast; 1 man can play 3 roles)
10 minute comedy
About the play: Three dead husbands, all Bubbas, have resulted in a winning lottery ticket, a day rubbing elbows with famous people, and a best selling book and movie. What Flame really wants from life though, is validation from her own people. To get it, will she have to die?
About the playwright: Terryl Paiste is the author of Another One of Louella’s Killer Ideas, The Revenge of Sacajawea, and Welcome to Acceptance in our popular book of short comedies, Seniors Acting Up.
She has shamelessly borrowed characters and plot ideas from her Air Force enlistment, and even from her late husband’s stamp collecting expertise. Her comedies for senior actors have been seen off-off Broadway, at retirement communities around the United States, and even as far away as Russia. While managing an office talented writer-editors at the FDIC in Washington D.C., she earned an M.A. in English from the University of Maryland, won dozens of Toastmasters International humorous speaking awards, and helped establish “Playwrights Anonymous” for those caught in the vicious web of playwriting addiction.
