Kate Katcher
10 minute comedy/drama
2 men, 2 women
About the play: A painting in a gallery leads to a showdown between a wealthy man, his wife and her first lover, the artist. Elaine and Larry Franz are a power couple; he in the financial world, she as the supportive wife that makes his life possible. When Elaine asks to stop by an art gallery on the way to a basketball game, Larry meets the man she gave up to be his wife. Now a well-known artist, Peter Carsten reminds her of the intimacy they shared that led to his painting Blue Sky with Approaching Storm, a deceptively simple work, and the price she paid for financial security. As with a clear, blue sky, you don’t always see what’s coming.
This play is included in AGELESS! 11 Short Plays Celebrating Seniors.
