About the play: Beverly is tired of playing it safe and decides it’s time to bring a little excitement back into their marriage. When she unveils a surprising purchase at the kitchen table, her husband is equal parts shocked, embarrassed, and intrigued. Their spirited conversation turns into a funny and touching exploration of love, aging, trust, and the importance of speaking honestly about what we want. Filled with recognizable marital moments and plenty of laughs, this delightful two-character comedy reminds us that personal growth doesn’t end at any age. To top it off, just when Al thinks he’s caught up with Beverly’s latest surprise, she reveals there’s more where that came from.
