20 minute comedy
4 women, 1 either
The play is set on the “Opal” show, a nationally televised tribute to volunteers moderated by the popular TV personality. Her guests are stellar volunteers who present funny and quirky adventures, “moments,” that have been submitted to the TV show. The well defined characters clash during the production but in the end, are brought together by the warm spirit of volunteerism. The show can be easily performed as readers theatre or staged as a fully mounted production. The fast paced comedy is a fitting tribute to volunteers.
Performers have been enjoying Ann Pugh’s as the author of The Day They Kidnapped Blanche and The Christmas Coffee, both are popular scripts in our collection.
“Delightful, I burst out laughing…wonderful! A hit! J. Cunningham, Volunteer Coordinator, Redding CA
