Description
Plot twist!
The Haunted Holiday Hotel has taken on a brand-new identity. This old title has exited stage left, and the spotlight now shines on: Aunt Gertie’s Ghostly Gamble
Think of it as the same great show, just with a fresh marquee.
About the play: The Haunted Holiday Hotel is jam-packed with zany characters and mysteries to solve. The play takes place in a haunted hotel with characters such as Crystal Ball, a clairvoyant, and Bertha Jones, a little old lady from Pasadena who is running away from being put in a home. Elvis Presley IS in the building and sings to his long lost love while the guests are embroiled in the crazy goings-on in the hotel. The fun and laughter can be enjoyed at any time of year.
The playwrights encourage directors to adapt the play for their own needs; no need to ask for permission.
About the playwrights: Heather Rapin has enjoyed creative writing and shared that love with her students for many years when she wrote plays for children and appeared in numerous plays. In addition to performing on stage, Heather loves to work as an assistant stage manager. She is delighted to share her first Senior Theatre script, assisted by accomplished author, Betty Annand.
Betty Annand enjoys doing volunteer work at her church, the local hospital, and at a local theatre where she writes and directs plays for the Senior Theatre company. She is the author of three non-fiction books, Growing up in the White House, Voices from Bevan, and Voices from Courtney Past, and a novel, The Girl from Old Nichol.
