‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, except for his spouse.
Her mad dash attempt to get everything right,
was killing his mood this Christmas Eve night.
To the rescue he flies, taking charge of the matter,
with skillful destruction and plenty of clatter.
The tree is a mess and now all is wrecked;
but thanks to his strategy, their Noel is perfect.
This short play works well as a staged reading or as readers theatre.
