1 man, 2 women
To celebrate their mutual birthday, Peaches and Cherry are out on the town, in a swanky hotel restaurant. Unfortunately for Carl, whose career aspirations mean that he must uphold the highest standards of elegance and protocol, Peaches and Cherry’s choices are a bit too unsophisticated for Royal tea. For starters, those shopping bags! And the tiaras? When the women make their demands, Carl has to decide between customer service and proper tea etiquette.
About the play:
- From the playwright, “Just being with my old friends always sparks some zany idea that translates into a comedy. With this play, an afternoon tea incident in Manhattan, followed by a birthday party at another restaurant, prompted my exaggerated story of the ‘tartlets.'”
- Tartlets on the Loose has been produced by professional actors in a New York blackbox theater, as well as by a group in Florida
- Virginia G. McMorrow, a playwright and novelist adds humor where possible—because she says, “after all, laughter is essential!”
