Carol, the leader of the trio, has been training her friends on the finer points and strategies for achieving a successful “five fingered discount.” Now, they’re ready for their ultimate heist. Carol reins in the enthusiasm of Edith, prepared with weapons (the knife set her grandkids gave her for Christmas), and hand-knitted balaklavas for their disguise. Neither are needed. In fact, their next big “job” will be like stealing candy from a baby requiring only fake IDs. But if they succeed, they’ll gain something more rich than any bank robbery — revenge.
From the Playwright
“I had so much fun writing this script. I wanted to challenge the stereotype of “old women spending their time knitting,” and portray them as strong individuals with interesting hobbies, embracing life, and getting revenge on anyone who tries to get in their way.”
