5 women
Angie, Liza and Maria just want to have a good time on their visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and maybe even win the door
prize of a “behind-the-scenes VIP tour.” But a harried staff member mistakes them for the guests of honor, Angie Bowie (ex-wife of David Bowie), Patti Boyd (ex-wife of George Harrison and Eric Clapton), and Marianne Faithful (ex-girlfriend of Mick Jagger). With the promise of the aforementioned VIP tour, the ladies play along, giving completely fabricated answers to very personal questions from the audience, until a jilted lover of Mick’s from long ago threatens Maria and mayhem ensues.
The playwright shares, “Using the prompt: ‘5 women, 15 minutes, joyful,’ I thought of the most joyful thing I could think of, and that is a visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I love a good “mistaken identity” comedy and thought about what it would feel like to be mistaken for the ex-lover of a famous rock star.”
