After finding a ragged umbrella on the floor of the subway, with a tag, “If found, please return to Rocco Martino care of Luigi’s Bar and Grill. Great sentimental value, big reward,” Amelia makes a trek across town to return it to its rightful owner. For a proper lady like her, this is not her usual stomping ground, and Rocco’s not someone she’d normally befriend. She gently rebuffs his romantic overtures, but as she departs, she makes a surprising overture of her own.
About this play: Terryl Paiste wrote both this play to explore the idea of “doing the right thing” even if there’s no reward.
