Vernon is a good husband but sometimes his wife Merle could just wring his neck especially when uptight church lady Maevelyn comes to call. Can love triumph over a broken toilet flapper, a lost cell phone, and a bloody nose or is Merle really just an “enabler” of her sweet husband’s incompetence? This fun, physical comedy is a southern fried delight. Easy to stage and a pleasure to perform, this play won the Down Home Play Festival in Rock Hill, SC and was performed as part of the 9 X 9 series at Theatre Charlotte in Charlotte, SC. It was voted “Audience Favorite” and was performed to sold out audiences.
Such a fun comedy!
