Description

Jolene Goldenthal

The 50 monologues were created to give the actor a way to tell tales, confide secrets, and share laughter with the audience. The age-appropriate pieces can be used for audition, for performance, or in class. Several of the monologues have won awards.

About the Playwright: Jolene Goldenthal is an award-winning playwright whose work has been seen nationally at Hartford Stage, Ensemble Studio, Victory Gardens, Bailiwick Rep, Mill Mountain, Florida Studio Theater, Mercyhurst College, and the 92nd Street Y among others. She has taught dramatic literature and theatre history and is the Founding Artistic Director of the Hartford Playwrights Inc. Jolene Goldenthal is a former columnist and art critic for The Hartford Courant. She is a member of The Dramatists’ Guild.
