The Pettiburg Town Hall spans the Canadian-US border and has two mayors in an ongoing feud. Things get worse with the news of pending changes to the border crossing’s administration. The US mayor sees this as an opportunity to assure his re-election; the Canadian mayor is sure that his American counterpart is plotting to take full control of the crossing. The situation is intensified by a meddling janitor, a persistent reporter, and a couple of over-the-hill hippies. International relations are rarely this hilarious!
We brought the house down with “At the Border.” It’s an ageless, timeless piece with plenty of actors and yet was easy to stage. Thanks for ArtAge, it is a wonderful resource for Senior Theatre. —Diane Cyr
