About the play: Henrietta, a new widow, is taken in by various schemes and scams, only to be saved in the nick of time by the street-wise detective and scambuster, San Scam! Laughter with a message, Fool Me Once is an excellent vehicle to raise awareness and initiate discussion about the frauds and scams that target seniors.
About the playwright: James Buglewicz received a B.F.A. from New York University and an M.F.A. in Directing from the University of Arizona. He currently is a faculty member at East Los Angeles College. He is founder and producing director for East Los Angeles College Storytheatre, a traveling theatre for children and seniors and has written and produced numerous original plays including My Life Was Saved by Dolphins, (a dance-theatre play), The Zombie Code or How Bobby Zombie Beats the Bull ‘E’s and Bobby Zombie Goes to Third Grade (exploring bullying and diversity), Miro and The Golden Flask (a bilingual Peruvian folk tale), The Stonecutter (a Japanese folk tale) and Jack Tales (a Tennessee folk tale).
