Roberta, Henry, and Theresa are gentle older folk–and in their gently eccentric way, are quite able to handle a robber’s middle-of-the-night intrusion into their home. He’s a college student who’s so worried about his tuition and housing debts that he can’t pull off the crime. The three older folks befuddle, and eventually welcome, the desperate student. Exhausted, he accepts their invitation as we all learn a lesson about what makes a family.
