Walt and Chet are having fun, spinning tales, and discussing a road trip to Florida in their red Corvette. It’s a great time! But when Chet’s daughter arrives and reminds him that he not only doesn’t have a car, he also doesn’t have a license, the joy fizzles. Before the father-daughter argument becomes too heated, a kindly aide helps everyone realize the magic in friendship and the joy of dreaming of a road trip.
Note:
This play has been performed for various groups of medical students. The goal is to use theatre to increase understanding and compassion for the unique issues we face as we grow older and to help students become better caregivers of all patients, regardless of age.
