Max has a plan. Today, he’s going to take his life while sitting on his favorite Central Park bench. The only problem is Randall, who is taken his spot on the bench, is showing no signs of leaving. Even worse, the guy cheerfully offers to share the bench. Max is not amused. Turns out Randall is the Angel of Death. While Max walked away for a moment, he eats the poisoned sandwich Max made for himself and he survives. It’s Randall’s day off from work but if he stops Max, he’ll get a promotion. Will Max make a deal? Will today be Randall’s lucky day?
The play leaves the characters and the audience hopeful about the resiliency of humans as we get older and reminded about the power of love.
