10 minute comedy
2 men, 1 woman
As Mom prepares to leave the family home, she and her son Eddie spend one last afternoon revisiting memories, settling old scores, and debating what the future should look like. Eddie is convinced he knows what’s best, but Mom has never been one to follow someone else’s plan. Their conversation is filled with humor, long-standing frustrations, and glimpses of the deep affection that lies beneath their constant sparring. As packing boxes disappear and emotions surface, each begins to see the other more clearly. Mom refuses to be defined by age, loss, or anyone else’s expectations, choosing instead to chart her own course. Then an unexpected revelation turns Eddie’s assumptions completely upside down. What begins as a move becomes an opportunity for both parent and child to reconsider what they mean to each other.
