About the play: Middle-aged widower Brick Thompson has been receiving casseroles from neighborhood widows and divorcees, but when his daughter talks him into attending a party, women throw themselves at him with wild abandon and Brick finds himself lucky to escape unscathed.
About the playwright: Marcus Steinour’s plays have been produced all over the United States. His full-length plays include book and lyrics for the 1997 musical “A Touch of Bourbon,” with music by Andrew Sussman. A mystery comedy, “Scream in the Night,” and the drama “Tomorrow, When the Trains Go By,” have been staged at the Harold Clurman Theatre in New York City.
