12-15 minute drama
In a few short pages, this play speaks to us on many levels. Superficially, it’s small-talk between two individuals who happen to meet in a field. But within is revealed several deeper themes regarding culture, the relativism of “right” vs. “wrong,” and the relationship between culture, society and the individual.
The Persian poet Rumi said it, nearly 700 years ago, “Out beyond the ideas of right and wrong, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”
