Description
Jo Rake
12 minute comedy
1 man, 2 women
About the play: Those automatic phone services can be a pain, just ask David Riley! They don’t seem to understand what you say and they have too many choices. But his wife knows how to get past all of those annoying menus to speak with a real person.
About the playwright: Jo Rake’s first theatre role was as Mary in a first grade Nativity play. More interested in singing and dance, it took many years before Jo found her way back to the stage but she has been a theatre devotee ever since, both on the stage as an actor and behind the scenes as director, stage manager, costumer, board member and performance judge. She began writing plays using the antics of her family and neighbors as well as just her imagination as inspiration. In ‘real life.’ Jo is a mostly retired CPA.
