Dwight E. Watson
12 minute comedy
1 man, 3 women
If familiarity breeds contempt, it also breeds playfulness and laughter! It feels like a regular day in the life of Ralph and Donna. She’s reading the paper, he’s trying to program the TV remote. A dog barks. But it’s not just any day, it’s Christmas, and the dog is not the only one making noise. In this hilarious comedy, Ralph and Donna trade zingers over noise, city ordinances, and the dog. In the end though, it’s clear there’s more to their relationship than verbal jousting!
Dwight E. Watson lives in the Hudson Valley. His journey to New York was preceded by childhood in North Carolina, theater tours in the South, marriage in Alabama, life in Los Angeles and decades at Wabash College in Indiana. Today, time is shared with his spouse, grandchildren, family, writing plays and essays, fly fishing, drumming, and collecting LPs. Director of more than sixty productions for educational and professional theater, and author of a book of monologues, Dwight’s plays and monologues have been staged near and far.
