15 minute comedy
2 men, 3 women
Two glamorous, globe-trotting besties—Audra and Janet—are living their best lives aboard luxury cruise ships, sipping piña coladas and throwing shade at their nemesis Caroline (who may or may not collect dead husbands). But while they’re soaking up sunsets and absinthe, back home, their ultra-premium security system traps two bumbling burglars in Audra’s house.
Instead of panicking, Audra and Janet treat the situation like a cocktail party with live entertainment. They chat with the thieves, flirt a little, offer fashion advice, and even negotiate a social media revenge plot against Caroline. There’s a diamond bracelet, a stolen urn, and a whole lot of sass.
Think Golden Girls meets Ocean’s Eleven, but with more sarcasm, less running, and a lot more wine.
“A clever play with a fun twist! Plus, there’s a bit of a good life lesson regarding the risks of posting online while traveling for those of us who don’t have a security system with lasers and a spare diamond necklace.” – Senior Theatre director in Montana
