Coming from Arkansas, Drena Heizer lived in and around Cincinnati, Ohio. With a history of marriage and five children, twenty years as physicians’ office nurse and sixteen years in hospital transcription, she retired and moved to Florida. She joined the Golden Troupers, a readers theatre group of seniors at the local community theatre. There was a need for performance material, and she explains, “Her word processor just happened to have a goofy sense of humor, so short comedies began to appear and kept on coming.”
