Jo Rake’s first theatre role was as Mary in a first grade Nativity play. More interested in singing and dance, it took many years before Jo found her way back to the stage but she has been a theatre devotee ever since, both on the stage as an actor and behind the scenes as director, stage manager, costumer, board member and performance judge. Jo is a founding member of a senior theatre company that performs at senior residences and living centers. She began writing plays using the antics of her family and neighbors as well as just her imagination as inspiration. In ‘real life,’ Jo is a mostly retired CPA.
