4 short plays in a series with flexible casting
Feeble Fables is a series of four short plays based on folk tales but retold with a modern twist. Written by one of our most popular writers, Bob Naquin, the plays can be performed individually for four short programs, or all together, in any order, for a production that will run from 10 to 40 minutes.
Casting: There are 18 roles in these four shows. You can use as few as 2 men, 3 women and 1 either to play all the characters in the four shows. Or, you can cast 4 men, 7 women and 7 either to play the roles. The shows work well with double casting, if you need it. See the plays listed below for specific information.
- L’il Red Riding Hood – 10 minute comedy, 1 man, 2 women, 1 either
- The Three Little Pigs – 10 minute comedy, 1 man, 3 women, 1 either
- Jackie and the Bean Stalk – 10 minute comedy, 2 men, 2 women, 2 either
- The Grasshopper and The Ant – 10 minute comedy, 3 either
Here’s what they’re saying about the shows:
“Our community has thoroughly enjoyed the humorous plays written by Bob Naquin. The recognition of his name always brings an increased audience. Having said that, I have to add that ‘Feeble Fables’ has definitely been the favorite so far. It was a delight to direct, much fun for the cast to perform and a great success for each of the sold out performances. We received great reviews stating that this was the best play we had ever performed.”
