What is it about?
As classmates trade bios, swap jabs, and sing their way through nostalgia, the reunion shifts when Billy hands out marijuana brownies, sending the group into a dreamlike, uninhibited second act. Under a huge moon, confessions tumble out, flirtations ignite, regrets are faced, and unlikely romances briefly flare. The men beat drums and ponder what becoming “men” even meant; the women vent about doing the “dirty work”; stories of war, loss, and aging surface. Gaia quietly reveals her struggles with memory, adding an emotional undercurrent to the revelry.
Ultimately, the reunion leaves everyone a little changed: some closer, some more honest, some newly aware of what time has taken and what it has given. The night ends with the classmates acknowledging the strange, sweet “dreamtime” they shared, accepting that life didn’t turn out as expected, but still finding connection in the moment.
With tunes ranging from doo‑wop to country, hip hop to anthem, and far more music than dialogue, this show invites performers to play big and have a great time doing it. The songs are catchy, easy to learn, and designed for multiple voices rather than solo virtuosity. It’s an easy production to mount with minimal sets, straightforward costumes, and flexible choreography that feels full and lively.
