Mimi Scott, Ph.D. is a professional actress best known as the drunk “Elsie” in Off Broadway’s Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral and as the book/lyricist for Dressing Room at SOHO Playhouse. Mimi was seen on the VH1 show, So Jewtastic, which was a fun jewelry contest between her and the young rapper, Baby. Mini decided that “Baby definitely had more bling!”
Since moving to New York, Mimi has appeared in numerous off Broadway shows, served as a press agent, written for Backstage and was featured in the film, Mr. Vincent, which was shown at Sundance. In the past four years, she founded and serves as Artistic Director for Manhattan Playwrights, Inc. She performs continually and has been on stage in Three Viewings for Montauk Theatre Productions, Expectations for the Leatherstocking Theatre, Wedding Pictures for the Vital Theatre and in the musical, Split Ends, at the Triad Theatre.
Not a stranger to television, when Mimi chose to keep her four puppies over losing her comfortable apartment, she became the focus in a media human interest extravaganza. In addition, Ms. Scott is often seen on national TV as a psychotherapist expert.
Ms. Scott is available for films and commercials. Please contact her for audition materials.
